Two of the eight victims of an open mass shooting at Allen Premium Outlets in United States were Daniela and Mendoza Sofia. As part of their investigation, police are collecting as much information as possible. This post will help us to discuss this issue in more detail.

Allen Premium Outlets: what happened?

The shooter opened fire outside of an Allen Premium Mall at 3:36pm on May 6, 2023. According to eyewitnesses, he fired dozens of random shots at anyone. After receiving a call, police were at the Outlets in less than five minutes. Eight people died and seven others were hospitalized. The officer shot the shooter as well.

When the shooting took place, what were Mendoza Sofia Daniela and Mendoza Sofia doing?

This tragic event resulted in the deaths of two children: Mendoza Sofia, an 8-year-old, and Daniela Mendoza, an 11-year-old. The girls were in the mall with their mother when they were shot. Their mother remains in critical condition, but the two girls who were taking cheerleading lessons at Wylie Elite have died.

How did Mendoza Sofia’s death affect the community?

Krista Wilson, the school administrator, described Daniela and Sofia as students who would brighten up any room. We are praying for the Mendoza family and the families of the victims. Our hearts were broken after hearing the news and we couldn’t express how much we’d miss them.

Wylie Elite, where they attended classes, noted that both of them were nieces of a team member. This week, to honor them, all students wore yellow.

Daniela and Mendoza Sophia’s aunt has also set up a GoFundMe page to support their family. She asks for prayers and says that nothing will ever fill the gap they left. Please pray also for their father, who has been through so much and is still incredibly resilient.

Who are the other victims of this incident?

Kyu Song Cho (37 years old) and Cindy Cho (35 years old), both of whom lived in Dallas, were also identified as victims in this incident.

The deaths of Daniela and Mendoza Sofia were also reported.

When the incident occurred, 26-year-old engineer Aishwarya Thatikonda was at the mall with a friend. Her friend suffered injuries, while Aishwarya died.

The incident also injured 32-year-old Elio Cumana Rivas from Dallas.

Three-year-old James Cho, the son of Kyu Cho and Cindy Cho, was also murdered.
