Corona virus infected cases count reached to the figure of 49,391, in India. This was reported by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, on Wednesday, May 6th, 2020 morning.
New Delhi. The corona infected cases reached a staggering number of 49,391, in the country, on Wednesday May 6th, 2020. It was reported by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. This figure of Corona infected persons includes 33,514 active cases and 1,694 deaths due to COVID-19 infection so far.
The good news is that 14,182 persons have been cured and discharged from hospitals till date. One patient has migrated, as per the ministry.
Most number of corona virus cases are reported from the state of Maharashtra. It is 15,525 cases with 617 fatalities in the state so far. It is followed by Gujarat that has 6,245 cases with 368 deaths. Delhi is reported to have 5,104 cases with 64 deaths. The states of Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan saw a steep rise in Corona virous infected cases, which amounted to 4,058 cases, 3,049 cases and 3,158 cases respectively.
Now the first case of corona virus has been reported in the Union Territory Dadar Nagar Haveli. No case has been reported in this area so far.
The North Eastern State of Tripura reported a sudden hike in the corona cases and has reported 43 cases as on date. Assam, another state from the North Eastern part of India has reported equal number of cases there also, till date.
Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal and Telangana are the states that have reported significant rise in the corona cases there, with the count reading 2,880, 1,717, 1,344 and 1,096 cases in their states respectively.
More than 500 cases have been reported from Bihar (536) cases, Haryana (548) cases, jammu and Kashmir (671) cases and Kerala (502) cases as on date.
